Pictures of today

Monday means saturday to me this month, so today I enjoyed a late breakfast after watching an old black and white movie on "arte".

I took a jazzy apple and peeled it, sliced it and then I fryed it in butter, cinnamon and sugar. Such a simple way to pimp the apple. I had it with natural yoghurt and some extra cinnamon on the top.

I had a hard-boiled egg as well. I have an egg almost every morning, love it!

I did this thing with the apples for dessert on new year's eve as well. But then we ate it with apple sorbet. I think it would have tasted even better with regular vanilla ice cream though, since it was nearly too much of an apple explosion.

After breakfast I went for a walk in Montmartre, it was calm and nice. I played tourist and took some photos, let's have a look.

It was nice and sunny today, perfect for a walk.

Sacré-Coeur! This is where you find the most beautiful view over Paris. The church is impressive and beautiful as well, both the inside and the outside, I think.

And I continued, down these stairs.

A rainbow café. :) Nice with a sudden mix of colours, makes me curious of the restaurant. How about you?

I ended my walk with some grocery shopping and, naturally, a stop at the boulangerie...

I picked a brioche au chocolat, a small apple cake (oh my it's like there's some sort of an apple-theme now) and a pain au lait. The pain au lait is very plain, the brioche au chocolat actually had too much chocolate in it, I think. The winner is the little apple cake, the circle-shaped cake to the left in the picture. Next time I'm gonna buy myself a fruity tarte or a couple of macarons instead...
