An apple a day...

Yesterday we bought some nice fruits and veggies from a greengrocer in the neighborhood. Let's have a look at this colourful parade...

These french grapes were so sweet, delicious!

And then we add som clementines as well. I like the fact that you still have the leaves on them, isn't it prettier that way?

Shiny and orange...

Especially one fruit caught my attention, or the fruit's name to be correct:

That's right Pomme Jazz -Jazz Apple.

And here is the jazz apple! A french jazzy apple. Who could resist a fruit with a name like that? Started to scat after the first bite.. ;) It might just have sounded something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbL9vr4Q2LU

An what else looked good? The fresh brussels sprouts from Holland sure did. This became an excellent little evening snack. Boiled and then with some butter and salt upon them -very tasty and healthy as well, rich on vitamin C, these little fellas.

As fresh as can be...

I got inspired to do a classic french onion soup yesterday, after reading about how healthy onions were (I've always just considered them as a "spice") and then I found a recipe on onion soup and it didn't seem dificult at all. Therefor, today I've bought the ingredients, we'll see if I cook it tonight or maybe another day. At least now I have the ingredients at home ready for me when I feel like it.

How do you eat your fruits and vegetables, do you prefer them raw as they are or cooked in a meal?

Bisou!
