Musée d'Art Moderne

I love to go to museums of modern art. What I like about it is that with modern art I always think or feel something about it. And I must say I get way more inspired to do something myself, after a day at Centre Pompidou then after looking at classic Italian painting at "Le Louvre". I mean, you might get disgusted sometimes, you might wounder what the fuck is that, but still you have an opinion. And I like that.

So anyways on my tuesday off I decided to go to the "Musée d'Art Moderne" since I had not yet wisited it. First of all, I thaught that Centre Pompidou was the Museum of modern art in Paris, but apparentley there's another one!

First of all I shall mention that the permanent exhibition is free for all, not just for us under twentysix, which is great of course. The staff was friendly and not too many people -great. I only went to the permanent exhibition, since I figured it would be enough on its own. At least the first time.

Here's a cool fella that I really liked. By Bernard Buffet.

One more from above mentioned.
Look at this one: I zoomed in on her fingers because they made me think of the skeleton from "A nightmare before christmas" and Halloween is coming up soon so I did find it suiting. (C'ant wait 'til it's pumkin-carvin-time! Wiie!)
Do you see what I mean?

Here are some more pieces that I liked, klick on them to enlarge them!
This painting was so big, I woundered how it was made and how it was brought there.

I really wish I could squeeze and pat those fluffy cheeks of hers! :)

Here's the link to the museum if you are interested in what else they are showing for the moment. I do think that Centre Pompidou is much cooler (I mean just the building and the museum shop is worth a wisit on its own) but Musée d'art Moderne is still a big and nice museum if you've allready been to Centre Pompidou recently or / and you do have sufficient time in Paris not to have to choose between the two. I also enjoyed a lasagna in the cafeteria and you can sit outdoors when the weather alouds.
It's nice located as well, you can stroll by Seine afterwards and breathe in the fresh winds coming in this time of the year.

Psst.. I have a little tradition that I'd like to share: everytime I am at a museum I buy one or two postcards, pictures of the pieces I enjoyed the most from my wisit. Then I put them up on my door. These two came back home with me:
Bisou!
